PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image processing method which can improve the smoothness of a single-speed image synthesized from a high-speed image.SOLUTION: The image processing device comprises: an acquisition unit which acquires an image photographed at a frame rate n times a predetermined reference frame rate (n=integer equal to or greater than 2) as a high-speed image; a weighted multiplication unit which multiplies each pixel of each frame constituting the high-speed image acquired by the acquisition unit by a weighting coefficient in a set of weighting coefficients which have unimodal properties and whose value changes stepwise by phase; an addition unit which adds up each frame having been multiplied by the weighting coefficient for each pixel as many as the n frames; and a division unit which divides the value derived by adding up as many as the n frames by a total value of the weighting coefficients and outputs an image of the reference frame rate. |
