PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element having a patterned interface, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The light-emitting element has a patterned interface comprising a plurality of predetermined patterned structures distinct from each other. Each of the plurality of predetermined patterned structures appears repeatedly, and any two neighboring predetermined patterned structures are different from each other. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: providing a substrate; generating a random pattern arrangement by a simulation; forming a mask having the random pattern arrangement on the substrate; and removing a portion of the substrate thereby making the random pattern arrangement on a surface of the substrate.
