PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Poisson noise removal device performing analytic handling even if Poisson noise is nonlinearly amplified by beam hardening correction processing and properly removing the Poisson noise of an image.SOLUTION: A Poisson noise removal device applies Poisson noise removal processing to an input image to generate an output image. The Poisson noise removal processing is conducted by using an energy function formulated such that a value thereof becomes smaller as the output image approaches an ideal image where noise does not exist, so that the output image minimizing an energy function is obtained by applying a mean field approximation. The energy function includes factors each indicating a ratio of the noise in a notice pixel, and each dynamically varying in each target pixel. |
