The measurement method for a smart antenna to measure within a wireless communication system with multiple steel tape armoured (STAs), the first step is to send specific measurement requests to the second STA from the first STA. At least two probe packets are sent from the second to the first STA. Each of packets us then received to the first STA using different antenna beams. The first STA practices the measurement on each probe packet, and the direction of the antenna beam is selected based on the measurement results.
