The rod (1) has a support element (10A) located towards an end (2A) of a hollow outer tube (2) and in contact with a fixed plane (21). Another support element (10B) is located towards an end (3A) of an inner tube (3) and in contact with another plane (22). An elastic body provides an elastic force in spacing between the tubes, to exert an effort against the planes to maintain the position of the rod. The former support element is fixedly secured to the outer tube, and the latter support element is fixed to the inner tube, where the elastic body is permanently attached to the outer tube. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing of a telescopic curtain rod (2) a method for assembly of a curtain on a telescopic curtain rod.
