PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which facilitates an operation by improving operability of a whole system while enabling acquisition of an image at any timing other than that in a shutter key operation.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: imaging systems 11-13 for capturing images of a subject; a shutter key (23) for instructing imaging; a memory card 32 for recording images obtained by the imaging systems 11-13 at instructed timing by the shutter key (23); an image buffer 14 for circulatively storing images obtained during a predetermined time period by the imaging systems 11-13 including the image at the timing instructed by the shutter key (23); a play back key (23) for instructing additional recording of the images stored in the image buffer 14 after instructing imaging by the shutter key (23); and a control unit 20, a main memory 21, and a program memory 22 for additionally recording images stored in the image buffer 14 into the memory card 32 in accordance with an instruction by the play back key (23), and automatically deleting images stored in the image buffer 14 in accordance with establishment of a given predetermined condition.
