A fuel cell system wherein an anode off-gas flow path, which discharges impurities within the fuel cells together with fuel gas to the outside, is equipped with a first purge valve (38) and a second purge valve (40). When the amount of liquid water in the electricity generation region of the fuel cells is less than a prescribed amount, control is performed so as to open/close only the first purge valve (38), and when the amount of liquid water is equal to or greater than the prescribed amount, control is performed so as to open the first purge valve (38) and the second purge valve (40). |
