[Class 146 (iii).] Printing-ink comprises a vehicle consisting of a paraffin hydrocarbon with a small proportion of a volatile organic compound containing oxygen and a chain of 3-7 carbon atoms in the molecule, e.g. monohydric or polyhydric alcohols or their esters or.ethers provided they are miscible with the hydrocarbon. Small proportions of the usual solvents may also be added. In an example, the vehicle consists of benzine together with butanol, dibutyl ether, amyl acetate, butylene glycol # ethyl ether, butyl acetate, and benzene, or cyclohexanol acetate and toluene.</p> |
