POLYLACTIC ACID RESIN COMPOSITION

A polylactic acid resin composition which is obtained by: blending a polylactic acid resin with more than 10 parts by mass but 50 parts by mass or less of a triaryl phosphate, 10-100 parts by mass of a melamine compound, respectively relative to 100 parts by mass of the polylactic acid resin, and a carbodiimide compound; and then melt-mixing the resulting blend. The triaryl phosphate contains one or more alkylaryl groups having an alkyl group with one or two carbon atoms; and the mass ratio of the triaryl phosphate to the melamine compound (triaryl phosphate/melamine compound) is 0.2-3. This polylactic acid resin composition is suitable for use in a component for home electrical appliances such as a case for home information appliances.
