PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide phosphate-based glass and a production method thereof capable of effectively reducing lessening rate of POin particular.SOLUTION: A phosphate-based glass includes at least PO, CeOand BO, and contains, by prepared amounts, 45-60 (mol%) of PO, 5-24 (mol%) of CeOand 21-30 (mol%) of BO. Herewith, it is possible to enhance volatilization inhibiting effects of P, and to effectively reduce a lessening rate of the amount of POcomponent occupying in the phosphate-based glass with respect to the prepared amount. |
