The power generation unit (1A) is coupled through an accessory gearbox (19) to the engine rotary shaft (7) of an aircraft engine (E). A rotor (12) passes through the accessory gearbox (19), and a drive gear (14) for driving the rotor (12) is arranged in a medial part of the rotor (12). Permanent magnets (17) are installed sandwiching the medial part from both sides, and a stator coil (18) is arranged facing the outside periphery of each permanent magnet (17). The two stator coils (18, 18) are electrically connected to one another.
