PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating aqueous coating material capable of substantiallly shortening a hardening time of a coated film, especially making effect remarkable in the case of using the aqueous coating material as a coating material for showing road surface in a method for coating the aqueous coating material while bringing the same with hardening promoting agent.SOLUTION: A method for coating aqueous emulsion coating material in which emulsion polymer (especially, anionically stabilized one) is a coating film forming element on a road surface. In this case, the hardening promoting agent is brought into contact with the aqueous emulsion coating material. Water soluble acid such as cytric acid and water soluble metal salt are independently used or are mixed and used as the hardening promoting agent.
