The winder has a belt shaft comprising two parts (1, 2), where a safety belt is wound on one of the parts. The other part is lockable in relation to a vehicle-fixed frame by a locking device. A force limiting unit (3) is arranged between the two parts of the shaft. Another force limiting unit (8) is formed by a deformation part. The deformation part is arranged and formed such that the deformation part is plastically deformed from a predetermined rotational angle of the former part to the latter part of the shaft between a screwing nut (6) and the former or latter part of the shaft.
