<p>In a light control system, an absolute pitch angle representing the magnitude of inclination of a vehicle in a front-rear direction with respect to a plane orthogonal to the direction of gravity is acquired, and the gradient of the road on which the vehicle is running is acquired. Then, the difference between the absolute pitch angle and the road gradient is computed to compute a relative road surface pitch angle representing the magnitude of inclination of the vehicle in the front-rear direction relative to the road surface. The light control system can detect the magnitude of inclination of the vehicle in the front-rear direction relative to the road surface without using a vehicle height sensor.</p> |
