A method of ticket processing comprises downloading ticket data to a mobile terminal (11, fig.2) such as a mobile phone. The mobile terminal (11, fig. 2) is taken to an event and an application program displays an image according to the ticket data on the screen (A, fig.6). An operation comprising moving a finger across the screen in a predetermined pattern is determined to redeem the ticket, i.e. the finger may be dragged or swiped across the screen to imitate ripping or tearing of a ticket stub from the ticket. The status of the ticket at the mobile terminal (11, fig. 2) is updated when this operation is detected, and the status at a server (15, fig. 2) may be updated when a connection becomes available. The ticket data downloaded to the mobile terminal may allow the ticket to be used a number of times. |
