<p>The invention relates to a mobile equipment for ultrasound-assisted electrochemical processing and polishing of the surfaces of large-size or hardly accessible pieces, supplied with current from an external direct current source and with electrolytic liquid from an external recycling installation, which is provided in two embodiments: a first embodiment for electrochemical processing, where the equipment comprises a supporting handle (1) on which there are mounted some threaded bushings (3 and 4) and some nuts (2 and 5) allowing the adjustment of the position of the equipment body (6) which is provided with orifices (7) for the supply of a piezoceramic transducer (8) from an ultrasound generator, the ultrasound oscillations being transmitted by a radiant bushing (9) in connection with a concentrator (10) wherein there is threaded an electrolytic-liquid supply nozzle (11), the said concentrator (10) being provided with a radial channel (10a) and an axial channel (10b) wherethrough the electrolytic liquid is injected into a tool-electrode (12) positioned in an antinodal point, which vibrates at maximum amplitude and generates ultrasound cavitation within a space (12b) between its front surface and the surface to be processed, the passivated layer being removed thereby from the processed surface, the working zone being sealed by some sealing gaskets (13) and the electrolytic liquid being discharged by means of a nozzle (15) and recycled by means of an external installation to be fed again to the working zone through the supply nozzle (11), and a second embodiment, for electrochemical polishing, in which the equipment is provided with a disc-shaped tool-electrode (31) mounted on a shaft (24) coupled with a rotation mechanism driven into motion by means of compressed air, and a transducer (33) which vibrates at ultrasound frequency, the passivated layer being thereby removed from the processed surface.</p> |
