PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To project an image having a resolution higher than that of a display element with higher quality.SOLUTION: A projection angle &thetas; by a projector lens changes by one designated amount of angle for each drive pulse of a stepping motor. A projected image is updated in frame cycles. When a plurality of drive pulses are generated in a frame cycle, at least part of an interval between drive pulses at a projected image update timing position and a position adjacent thereto and an interval between drive pulses adjacent to each other is made to be unequal. For example, when four drive pulses are generated in a frame cycle, a first drive pulse is generated synchronously with a vertical synchronization signal and the remaining other pulses are generated collectively in the latter half of the frame cycle at 1/2 intervals compared to the case where the four drive pulses are generated at equal intervals within one frame cycle. |
