PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera system which realizes a high recognition rate even in the case of performing image recognition using a compressed and decompressed image, with operation support of a vehicle as a precondition.SOLUTION: An image recognition unit 26 in an image receiver 2 performs image recognition processing using an image stream 30 transmitted from an image transmitter 1. A recognition control unit 25 switches recognition processing operation performed by the image recognition unit 26. Further, the recognition control unit 25 transmits, to the image transmitter 1, encoding control information 31 for changing the image stream transmitted from the image transmitter 1 to a format suitable for the switched recognition processing operation. An encoder control unit 15 in the image transmitter 1 changes an encoding processing parameter of an encoder 13 on the basis of the transmitted encoding control information 31. |
