PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an arrester having a large mechanical strength without increasing the size.SOLUTION: An arrester includes a series body 10, electrodes 1 sandwiching the series body 10, electrodes 2 disposed on both outsides of the electrodes 1 in the lamination direction, a plurality of insulation restriction members 3, and wedge members 4 having a diameter reduced in the lamination direction. An annular member 5 for pressing the wedge member 4 is disposed on the inner end face 2e of the outer peripheral edge 2c in the axial direction. The wedge member 4 is pressed against the annular member 5 and presses the radial outer face 3a of the insulation restriction member 3, when the tip of a bolt 6 inserted from the axial inner end face 5b of the annular member 5 is fastened to an electrode 2. |
