<p>A master cylinder (21) generates a master cylinder pressure in response to the operation of depressing a brake pedal (10) by a driver. A power hydraulic pressure generation device (30) is provided with a pressurizing pump (31) and an accumulator (32), and the pressure of a hydraulic fluid pressurized by the pressurizing pump (31) is accumulated as an accumulator pressure by the accumulator (32). A pressure increasing mechanism (80) connects to both the master cylinder (21) and the accumulator (32). The pressure increasing mechanism (80) is mechanically operated according to the master cylinder pressure supplied from the master cylinder (21) and generates a servo pressure using the accumulator pressure supplied from the accumulator (32). A pressure increasing mechanism cutoff valve (90) serving as a shutoff valve is a normally closed solenoid on-off valve and is provided in a high-pressure supply passage (15) for connecting the accumulator (32) and the pressure increasing mechanism (80). The pressure increasing mechanism cutoff valve (90) is controlled by a brake ECU (100) to a closed state in which the connection between the accumulator (32) and the pressure increasing mechanism (80) is shut off.</p> |
