PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder device in which usability is improved. SOLUTION: The cylinder device includes: a projection 81, which is provided on either one of the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder and the outer circumferential surface of a rod and extended in the radial direction; inclination parts 91, 93, which are provided on the other one of the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder and the outer circumferential surface of the rod and contact the projection 81 when the rod is in the maximum protrusion state to relatively rotate the cylinder to the rod and to guide the cylinder to a predetermined relative rotational position; and a lock part 87, which is provided on the other one of the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder and the outer circumferential surface of the rod and holds the projection 81 in contact with the projection 81 when the rod moves in insertion direction by facing the projection 81 in the axial direction in the maximum protrusion state of the rod where the cylinder and the rod are located at the predetermined relative rotational position.
