<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide amino group-containing particles having various functions such as anion exchange, moisture absorption, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral functions, obtained by modifying particles made of a nitrile group-containing polymer, a method for efficiently producing the particles, and a functional product containing the particles. <P>SOLUTION: The amino group-containing particles are obtained by treating particles made of a nitrile group-containing polymer with an amino group-containing organic compound having a structure in which a number of all amino groups per molecule is &ge;3, a number of primary amino groups is &ge;2 and such amino groups are bonded to each other by an alkylene group, whereby a crosslinked structure and amino groups are simultaneously introduced into the particles.
