PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device for a folding door in which, even when an impulsive force is loaded to the folding door, the folding door can be prevented from getting out of place.SOLUTION: Pivot hinges 20, 30 are mounted to upper and lower tail-side portions of one door body 11a of a folding door 10, and a pivot shaft 22 of the upper pivot hinge 20 is inserted into a support hole 53 of an upper holder 50 which is fixed to an upper side of an opening 1, and supported in a freely rotatable manner. A round shaft part 32b in a lower end of an adjust bolt 32 of the lower pivot hinge 30 is inserted into a support hole 63 of a lower holder 60 which is fixed to a lower side of the opening 1, and supported in a freely rotatable manner. A hook piece part 81 is provided in a pivotable end portion of a pivotable engagement plate 80 which is supported by the upper holder 50, the hook piece part 81 is engaged into an engagement groove 22c which is formed in the outer periphery of an upper end portion of the pivot shaft 22, and the pivot shaft 22 is prevented from being dropped downward out of the support hole 53, thereby preventing the folding door 10 from getting out of place. |
