The device has flaps (122, 142) for controlling air flows through a cold channel (12) and a warm channel (14). A photovoltaic module is coupled with a Peltier element (20) and an electrical energy storage i.e. battery, over a power electronics unit. The channels are connected with an outside chamber at an input side by the flaps that are independently controlled. Fan devices (121, 141) comprise two separate independent controllable fans to which the channels are attached. The cold channel is connected with an inner chamber of a motor car. The fans can be designed as radial or axial blowers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating an air conditioning device (2) a motor car.
