PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airplane lavatory unit and a structure for arranging same, which are advantageous in increasing the number of seats.SOLUTION: A space section SA that extends linearly with a uniform width is formed between a first sidewall 28 and a second sidewall 30 from a rear wall 32 to a front wall 34. A toilet bowl 40 is arranged closer to an end of the space section SA in the extending direction thereof on the side of the rear wall 32. A storage box 44 is arranged between the toilet bowl 40 and the rear wall 32 and above the toilet bowl 40. A wash basin 42 is provided on the upper surface of the storage box 44. That is, the toilet bowl 40 and the wash basin 42, which takes up a wide space, are arranged to be juxtaposed along the extending direction of the space section SA at the end of the space section SA in the extending direction thereof. The width W of a body frame 24 where the second sidewall 30 that exposes to outside the body frame 24 is located is formed to have a minimal dimension that is sufficient for ensuring that the space section SA has a width that allows a person to move back and forth between a doorway and the toilet bowl 40 and that allows a person to sit on the toilet bowl 40. |
