The present invention relates to a device and method for inputting user information into medical equipment. It is based on the object of supporting the work of the attending medical personnel during operation of medical equipment and ensuring that, during operation of medical equipment, settings which are inappropriate for the actual treatment situation are not made off-handedly or unintentionally. To this end, the invention relates to a method and a device in which a second parameter value, which identifies the medical equipment and is input in hand writing or orally into an input device, is checked and the check determines whether the first or second parameter value, or neither the first nor the second parameter value is adopted or can be adopted for further processing in a control device controlling the equipment. |
