This microchannel plate (200) has a double cladding structure configured from multiple first cladding glass components (210) having through-holes that act as channels, and a second cladding glass component (220) which has high acid resistance and which adopts a honeycomb structure. Each first cladding glass component has a tapered opening in the incident end surface (S). By this means, a microchannel plate can be realized having sufficient physical strength and high detection efficiency. |
