PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use wood tar, which has been discarded so far, for the purpose of modifying regenerated or new asphalt and contributing to the environmental protection, and to heighten the additional value of an asphalt mixture by a deodorant effect and an aromaticity.SOLUTION: Superheated steam is sprayed on wood, and an asphalt mixture is produced by mixing wood oil for asphalt separated from a wood extract liquid extracted from the wood with asphalt. To put it more concretely, the wood extract liquid composed of the wood oil with water and oil mixed therein is obtained by cooling a wood extract component, included in superheated steam and an exhaust gas generated when the wood is heated, with water or the like. A wood oil having kinematic viscosity similar to the kinematic viscosity of wood tar and asphalt, scarcely producing any stench, and having an originally woody odor is generated by separating a supernatant liquid portion and a precipitate portion obtained by removing water in the wood extract. |
