PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to prevent collision of a document and a recording material on a conveyance path that is obtained by making a conveyance path of the document and a part of a conveyance path of the recording material in common in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus of the present invention uses a part of a conveyance path on which a sheet is conveyed when double-sided printing is performed as a conveyance path on which a document to be subjected to scanning processing is conveyed in common. The image forming apparatus, when an execution instruction of the scanning processing of the document is input, if printing processing on the sheet is under way, determines whether or not the conveyance path of the document in the scanning processing is used in common with the conveyance path of the sheet during execution of the printing processing (S1504). The image forming apparatus, when double-sided printing as the printing processing is under way, for example, determines that the conveyance path is used in common, and executes the scanning processing based on the execution instruction after completion of the printing processing (S1506). |
