<p>A packaging container (2), adapted to be cut to establish a display container for products (92-97) stored therein, is formed with corner slits (58-61) having a primary slit portion (64) extending around a respective corner (21-24) of the container (2), as well as secondary slit portions (69 and 70) which extend at non-linear angles to the primary slit portion (64). Between the corner slits (58-61), the container can be provided with cut lines (78, 79) to act as a guide for a cutting instrument (124) used to separate the container (2) into top and bottom sections (83, 84), with the bottom section (84) establishing the display container. With the inclusion of the corner slits (58-61), the cutting instrument (124) need not make any cuts through the corners (21- 24). In addition, cuts made between the corner slits (58-61) need not be perfectly aligned between respective primary slit portions (64) due to the existence of the secondary slit portions (69 and 70).</p> |
