PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which, when a call incomes, is shifted from a call-incoming state to a speech state only by bringing the portable terminal to an ear.SOLUTION: The portable terminal comprises: a receiver 5 for outputting the voice of a speech opposite side; a first detection unit 3 which is provided near a receiving port for releasing the voice outputted from the receiver 5 and, if an object approaches within a predetermined distance, detects the object; a second detection unit which is provided at a position where the object is not detected while the object approaches the first detection unit 3, and, if the object approaches within a predetermined distance, detects the object; and a controller which, if the first detection unit 3 detects the object and the second detection unit does not detect the object when a call incomes, performs control to shift from the call-incoming state to a speech state. |
