PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly cool a paper surface, and to make the glossiness of an image in paper uniform, by devising an air blowing method to a cooling mechanism.SOLUTION: A paper cooling device includes: a first belt 33 rotated by a first driving roller 31 and the like; a second belt 53 abutting on the first belt 33 to carry paper; a cooling mechanism 40 abutting on the first belt 33, and cooling the first belt 33; a partitioning portion 63 for partitioning the cooling mechanism 40 in a direction generally orthogonal to a paper carrying direction; a first blowing portion 61 for blowing air from one side to one side area of the cooling mechanism partitioned by the partitioning portion 63; and a second blowing portion 62 for blowing air from the opposite side to that of the first blowing portion 61 to the other side area of the cooling mechanism. |
