PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet feeding roller from being vertically lowered due to an impact formed when a sheet conveyance device gets close to an image reading surface and closes it.SOLUTION: When receiving a switch-on control signal indicating that a sheet conveyance device is soon closed with respect to an image reader, from a detection means, a control part causes a timer part to start measurement of time, supplies an exciting current to a motor 140, and connects an electromagnetic clutch 143. When a lapse of a predetermined period of time is measured by the timer part during receiving the control signal, the control part stops excitation of the motor 140 and disconnects the electromagnetic clutch 143. |
