The socket (20a) has a socket housing (51) in which plug contacts (52) of a plug contact arrangement (53) are arranged. The plug contact arrangement is provided for connection to a connection cable (35), where the cable is connected to an on-board power supply of a motor vehicle i.e. passenger car. An electronic control device (50) is completely arranged in a control capsule body (65a), which electrically isolates a part of electrical components of the control device and completely surrounds and encapsulates the part.
