The present invention relates to an environmentally friendly additive aiming at protecting a combustion engine, increasing the efficiency of combustion and reducing environmental pollutant such as carbon, sludge and dust by economically and conveniently adding the additive to fuel oil such as diesel, kerosene and heavy oil used for passenger cars, large cars, heavy equipment and boilers and, in particular, to a multi-purpose fuel additive composition comprising 1 to 20 wt% of alcohol, 20 to 40 wt% of a fatty acid, 0.01 to 2 wt% of a metal compound, 20 to 60 wt% of an oxygenated compound, 10 to 60 wt% of an ether, and 20 to 60 wt% of a hydrocarbon. Fuel consumption is reduced by facilitating fuel combustion; the lifetime of an engine and a furnace is extended by reducing carbon, sludge and dust generated by a combustion engine; and air pollution is prevented by reducing discharged harmful materials in exhaust gas such as CO, NOx, HC, SOx, and PM. |
