The present invention relates to a compound containing Clitoria ternatea extract as an active ingredient for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia, obesity, or fatty liver and, more specifically, the Clitoria ternatea extract according to the present invention which has no cytotoxicity and inhibits body weight gain due to a highocholesterol diet, liver and fat weight gain, and AST (aspartate aminotransferase) and ALT (Alanine aminoTransferase), and decreases the level of insulin, total cholesterol, LDL (low-density lipoprotein), triglyceride, and LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) and the production of IL-1β, IL-6, MCP-1, and TNF-a, and fat accumulation in the liver tissue, thereby being used effectively for developing the compound for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia, obesity, or fatty liver or a healthfood compound for preventing and improving hyperlipidemia, obesity, or fatty liver.
