PURPOSE: A hollow fiber membrane module is provided to accelerate heat transmission and mass transfer of a supply solution by forming turbulent flow within the module, and to increase the separation efficiency and the permeated flow rate of the permeated side. CONSTITUTION: A hollow fiber membrane module has a structure in which two hollow fiber membrane units(6, 6') are connected through a connector(9). The hollow fiber membrane unit comprises a core(1), a hollow fiber(2) surrounding the core, a cage(3) surrounding the hollow fiber, a housing(5), a first port(10), a second port(12), and a third port(12'). The housing comprises a fixing unit(4) sealing and fixing the hollow fiber. The first port forms a fluid path connecting to the inside of the hollow fiber. The second port forms a fluid path connecting to the external wall side of the hollow fiber. Concentrated fluid is ejected to the third port. The connector comprises an insertion tube(7) connecting the fluid paths between hollow fiber units, a sealing member(8) for sealing the insertion tube and the hollow fiber units, and a fourth port(13) for supplying the third fluid to the inside of the hollow fiber. |
