Disclosed herein are novel electrical materials that are derived from metallic nanoparticle compositions. The nanoparticles are designed such that they have several unexpected properties in response to an applied voltage (for example, non-linear dependence of conductivity as a function of applied voltage and a negative Arrhenius activation energy). The highly versatile nature of these materials and their robust stability at room temperature in the atmospheric conditions provide advantages in nano-scale applications. |
