A robot tool changing device installs a tool of a robot on an arm of the robot to be detached. The changing device includes a tool module connected to the tool of the robot; and a master module connected to the arm of the robot. The changing device installs or uninstalls the tool module and the master module for installing and uninstalling the tool of the robot. A master electric signal module (ESM) is installed on the master module, and a tool ESM is installed on the tool module. According to a necessary design condition, the changing device applies an identical power supply to the master ESM and the tool ESM. However, the changing device selectively stops the power supply to the tool ESM while installing or uninstalling the master module and the tool module and maintains the power supply to the master ESM. Therefore, the changing device enables the tool to be installed and uninstalled and prevents the formation of an excessive electrical arc. |
