The present invention relates to a locking device for a sliding window capable of locking the window while the window is partially open. The locking device for the sliding window comprises a bracket unit (19) installed in a lower horizontal frame (11) of an outer first window (5); a key member (21) which is a bar shape; and a key member holder (25) fixed in end pieces of an inner second window (7). The bracket unit includes a bracket main body (27); a blocking plate (29) installed on the upper end of the bracket main body by being bent at a right angle to the bracket main body; a long hole (23) bored in a slit shape along the longitudinal direction of the bracket main body; an inlet hole (31) formed on one side of the long hole by being bored more widely than the width of the long hole to be connected to the long hole; and a mounting plate (35) protruding at the right angle from the bracket main body and mounted on the upper surface of the horizontal frame. The key member includes a head (37); a slider (39) installed on the rear end of the head; and a handle (41) which a user can hold with hands. |
