<p>The present invention relates to an image display device of a patterned retarder type with black strips and a manufacturing method thereof. A 3D image display device of the patterned retarder type with the black strips comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, the black strips, and a border strip. The first substrate is divided into a display area, which unit pixels are arranged by a matrix method, and a non-display area which is arranged around the display area. The second substrate is attached to the first substrate by a seal coated on the non-display area. The liquid crystal layer is positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate. The black strips are arranged along a horizontal boundary unit which divides the unit pixels on the outer surface of the first substrate. The boundary strip is arranged along the non-display area on the outer surface of the first substrate.</p> |
