METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF A SCINTILLATION ELEMENT FOR REGISTRATION OF ALPHA-RADIATION

The invention relates to the area of registration of ionizing radiations by methods of spectrometry and radiometry, and can be used in nuclear instrument making. A method for production of scintillation element for registration of alpha-particles includes mixing particles of scintillation material ZnSe with given dimensions with immersion medium. According to the invention, first particles of scintillation material are milled and fractioned in inert non-polar solvent. Particles of powder obtained in such way are mixed with immersion medium with concentration of powder of scintillator in mix 80-90 vol. %. The mix obtained is applied to transparent support in compactly packed layer with effective thickness of scintillator ~ 100 µm. Scintillation element produced in such way provides increase of effectiveness of registration of radiation.
