PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately execute seaming (jointing) for panoramic synthesis without application of an excessive processing load.SOLUTION: Object information for frame image data is detected. A seam reference to serve as a reference line for determining a seam between adjacent pieces of frame image data is determined by using the object information. Only within a determining region that is set on the basis of the seam reference, the seam between adjacent pieces of frame image data is determined.
