The method involves carrying out a self-test of the antenna for the identification of failed receiving elements, receiving the result of the self-test directly into the monopulse formation, and correcting the error. The result of the self-test is converted into the correction values, which links the sum channel signal and the difference channel signals of the antenna independent of the viewing direction of the antenna.
