Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a control channel in a wireless communication system. A base station allocates a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) to resource elements in a resource block for transmission of the control channel and allocates the control channel to resource elements except for the resource elements to which the DMRS is allocated, and transmits the DMRS and the control channel to a terminal.
