PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the protocol type or the network configuration of a virtual network to be dynamically changed.SOLUTION: In a virtual network system including a tunnel connection device and a tunnel termination device, a virtual network is configured with a tunnel established between the tunnel connection device and the tunnel termination device. The tunnel connection device includes means for accessing a prescribed control device to acquire setting information from the prescribed control device, and connecting to the tunnel termination device according to the setting information. The tunnel termination device includes: means for receiving a virtual network configuration change directive from the prescribed control device; and means for selecting from one or more tunnel connection devices specified by the virtual network configuration change directive a tunnel connection device which is connected to the tunnel termination device, and transmitting a setting change directive to the selected tunnel connection device.
