The present invention relates to a ballot box, and in particular to a ballot box for receiving ballot papers, for example during an election. A ballot box is disclosed comprising a base and walls, the base and walls defining a cavity for receiving at least one ballot paper, wherein the walls and/or the base of the ballot box are adjustable to define a ballot-receiving cavity for accommodating a ballot paper. Also disclosed are a kit for providing a ballot box according to the invention, and a method for assembling a ballot box according to the invention. <Figure 1>
