Disclosed is a smart grid interacting apparatus for efficiently using energy in building environments through interaction with a demand response (DR) function, energy storage equipment, an electric vehicle, and power energy consumption by collecting building environment data and energy facility operation data in a building using an energy monitoring and management (EMM) client in the building environment. In a smart grid interacting apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention, according as a smart grid technology is introduced in building environment and integrally performed with an energy management function of a building by a remote monitoring center, the smart grid interacting apparatus under the control of a building energy management system managed by a remote building energy monitoring center provides a function for more efficiently using and managing energy in the building environments through the collection/management of the operational and environmental information of building energy facilities and through interaction with a smart grid system technology, and effectively responds to the energy price changes of a power system.
