PURPOSE: A shock-absorbing outer cover for a pillar is provided to improve external appearance and to absorb shock by applying a cushion force to a metallic pillar using an elastic cover body. CONSTITUTION: A shock-absorbing outer cover for a pillar comprises a plurality of segments(100) to be joined through a fixing device. A segment comprises a pair of supporters(120,140) and an elastic cover body(200). One side of a supporter adheres to the outer surface of a pillar by covering. The supporter is formed with a joint groove to insert the elastic cover body. The elastic cover body is made of a bendable soft material and is joined to the supporters by inserting a protrusion(220) in between the supporters. The fixing device is equipped with both side wing ends and is integrally fixed to the pillar. |
