The present invention relates to a cooling apparatus and a segment for a continuous casting apparatus, which comprises the cooling apparatus. The a segment for a continuous casting apparatus comprises an upper and a lower frame spaced apart from each other; multiple rollers provided on the upper and lower frames respectively, and arranged in the width direction of slab; and a cooling apparatus for spraying cooling water onto the slab. The cooling apparatus includes cooling water spray units that are arranged on the left and right sides of the multiple rollers and which spray cooling water onto the slab, and a drive unit transferring the cooling water spray unit. The drive unit is installed in the center region of the outsides of the multiple rollers, and effectively cools down the slab corresponding to the change of the width of the slab during continuous casting. |
